1. Magnetic Building Figures

These little magnetic people are such a simple activity, but they can keep little hands busy for surprisingly long stretches. I love that toddlers can build different people and shapes while working on creativity, fine motor skills, and a little bit of problem-solving without needing a screen.
2. Water Wow! Reusable Activity Pad

This is one of my favorite activities for when I need something mess-free that will actually hold their attention. Just fill the pen with water, let them color, and as the pages dry, they’re ready to use again and again. Perfect for restaurants, appointments, car rides, or quiet time.
3. Sticker Wow! Reusable Sticker Activity

If your toddler loves stickers, this is basically magic. They get the fun of putting stickers everywhere without you finding tiny stickers stuck to your furniture, walls, and floor afterward. 😂 It’s an easy activity to pull out when you need 15–20 minutes of independent play.
4. Jelly Sticker Books

These are great for toddlers who love sticking things but aren’t quite ready for traditional craft projects. The stickers can be reused, so they can create different scenes over and over instead of finishing the activity in five minutes and asking, “What can I do now?” They’re also super easy to throw in a bag for a busy day out.
5. Kinetic Sand Sensory Bin

This is one of those activities that can really buy you some time. Toddlers can scoop, mold, build, squish, and make their own little creations while getting plenty of sensory play at the same time. It does take a little more setup than some activities, but it’s worth it when you need something that keeps them engaged.
6. Boppo Activity Board

This is a newer activity that I’ve found, and so far I’ve been impressed! This is perfect for those moments when your toddler needs something to do with their hands. With tons of activities, songs, stories, and games built in, it gives them plenty to explore without handing them a phone or tablet. It’s especially nice for quiet play when you need a little break.
7. Montessori Wooden Fruit Sorting Set

This is the kind of toy that looks simple but gives toddlers so many ways to play. They can sort the colors, use the tongs to pick up the fruit, count the pieces, or pretend they’re cooking and serving food. It’s a great way to sneak in fine motor practice and early learning while they think they’re just playing.
8. Wooden Color & Counting Train

This is a fun one for toddlers who love putting things in and taking things out. They can match the colored pieces to the correct train car, practice counting, and work on hand-eye coordination while playing independently. And unlike a lot of toddler activities, it can grow with them as they learn new ways to use it.
9. Magnetic Drawing Activity

This is such a good “I need to get something done” activity because there are so many ways for toddlers to play with it. They can make patterns, build shapes, or simply experiment with putting the pieces in different spots. It keeps their hands and brain busy while working on fine motor skills at the same time.
10. Crayola Color Wonder Mess-Free Coloring

All the fun of markers without having to worry about marker ending up on the table, couch, clothes—or somehow their entire body. 😂 The markers only work on the special paper, so this is one I can actually hand over and let them enjoy without hovering the entire time. I especially love it for traveling and restaurants!
11. My First Busy Book

I love an activity that keeps little hands busy and sneaks in some learning at the same time. With matching activities for letters, numbers, animals, and more, there are enough different things to do that they don’t finish one page and immediately lose interest. It’s also reusable, which is always a win.
12. Create-a-Scene Sticker Book

Stickers are basically toddler currency, so give them an entire book of them and you might actually get to drink your coffee while it’s warm. 😂 I love that they can create their own little scenes instead of there being one “right” way to do it, so it encourages imaginative play while keeping their hands busy.
13. Magic Water Gel Kit

This one is definitely more of an at-home activity, but it has that little bit of magic that toddlers absolutely love. They get to create colorful squishy animals and then actually play with what they made, so the activity lasts beyond just making them. Perfect for a rainy afternoon when you need something new and exciting.
14. My Bead Stories

For the toddler who loves crafts, this is such a cute alternative to traditional coloring. They get to decorate the different characters with tiny colorful beads, which keeps little hands occupied while working on fine motor skills and creativity. This would be one I save for quiet time or a special mom-and-me activity.
15. Disney Princess Search & Find Activity Mats

Search-and-find activities are so underrated for keeping kids occupied! They can hunt for different pictures over and over, and because these mats are write-and-wipe, you don’t have to toss them once they’re finished. The Disney Princess theme just makes it that much more exciting for a princess-loving toddler.
16. LCD Drawing Tablet

If your toddler constantly wants your phone, try handing them one of these instead. They can doodle, practice shapes, play little drawing games with you, erase everything with a button, and immediately start again. There are no markers to lose and no giant stack of paper afterward, so this is an amazing car or diaper-bag activity.
17. Magnetic Tile Marble Run

This is one that can grow with your kids instead of entertaining them for a month and then getting forgotten. You can help younger toddlers build different tracks and let them drop the balls through, and as they get older, they can start figuring out how to build their own creations. Watching the marble go through the track makes them want to rebuild it again and again.
18. Crayola Spill-Proof Paint Kit

Painting with a toddler sounds fun until you remember that you’re the one cleaning up afterward. 😂 This gives them the painting experience without quite as much chaos because the semi-solid paints are designed not to drip or spill like regular paint. It’s perfect when they’re begging to paint but you aren’t mentally prepared for a full-blown craft cleanup.
19. Ocean Sensory Sand Bin

If your toddler is the kind of kid who can scoop, pour, dig, and bury things forever, sensory bins are GOLD. This one combines moldable sand with little ocean animals and treasures, giving them tons of different ways to play instead of one set activity. Put a mat underneath it and you may just buy yourself a surprisingly peaceful chunk of time.
20. Melissa & Doug Sticker Collection

Sometimes the simplest activities are the biggest hits, and 500+ stickers can go a long way with a toddler. They can make pictures, create little stories, decorate paper, or just go through the pages choosing their favorites. I love keeping big sticker books around for those “Mom, I’m bored” moments when I need something I can pull out with absolutely zero prep.
A Little More Play, A Little Less Screen Time 🤍
Hopefully a few of these become favorites in your house too! These are the kinds of activities that have actually kept my kids entertained and given me those precious few minutes to make dinner, get something done, or just enjoy a little quiet. Every kid is different, but if even one of these buys you a hot cup of coffee or 20 minutes without hearing “Mom, I’m bored!”—I’m calling that a win. 😂 Here’s to a little more independent play, a little less screen time, and finding those small things that make mom life easier. 🤍
Mom Tip 💕
I wouldn’t pull out all of these at once. Keep a small basket of screen-free activities and rotate them so they continue to feel new and exciting. Sticker books and Water WOW! are great for quiet moments, while the sand and building activities are better when your toddler has more time to really get into the activity.
